You can make longer rods for your choke from old wire coat hangers. I had a couple different ones. One for summer, one for winter.

Korwin, it will be a bear to run in the winter until warm if you don't get that fixed. That's called a choke thermostat, yours looks broke. I would suggest buying a new one. I think they run about $20. I don't think you can adjust it.

Zen and Carb tuning, quadrajets are particularly Zen 'ish... Holleys can be as well I wish you the best my brother.... a holley mech. secondary, jets to unreal... primarys tuned..bench flowed, squirters to 37's... make my head hurt... want to change cams?... oh hell yes!!! want to tune carb AGAIN?!!???!! oh **** just kick me in the junk n lets call it a day!!!!

The choke thermostat, it the small metal box attached to your manifold with a spring inside. It has a round bar that connects to your choke. Not sure if this is the right year but it looks the same but it has a cover on the manifold.
