Would you buy a k5 if.....?

Im looking at a '72 k5 that is typical rust belt truck. Dont think any exterior metal is salvagable except the hood. Vehicle (only seen pics at this point) has original under dash speaker, interior (poss leveling mats) 350 4bbl, auto and.....a single wall top. Guy wants a decent chunk (thinking 1400-1500) and id like the eng/ trans and some other stuff but would sell the top , interior and some other parts off it. Would anybody else consider buying one for this much to part it? Whats a single wall going for now, I already have one so this would go bye bye?

Single walls go for what anyone is willing to pay really, sometimes that means $500 sometimes that means $100 Sounds like a $700 truck to me. If that.

Wow , things must be cheap up north. Id buy all the single walls I could find for those prices. Id think the entire running gear would be worth the $700.

A Blazer in that shape are almost non existent these days up here in Canadaland. I was looking for a single wall top for the past five years, my search focused ND MN and anywhere else within a few hundred miles. I would say average price for any that were past my travel limit was around $400. Anything higher seemed to sit for a while till the price dropped. I finally found one a couple months ago for $100 and gladly drove a couple hundred miles to get it. But with all that said, the value of anything is what someone would pay
