You might not need all of this stuff, but it's just a quick budget for brakes. Using Autozone, NAPA, Advance parts etc.
Front and Rear brake shoes = $50
All new Spring Kit Front and Rear = $20
Wheel cylinders X4 = $50
Brake hoses X 3 = $50
New Master Cylinder = $20
Brake fluid = $10

So far that's $200
O'Reilly's can turn drums if they are in good enough shape to turn. Otherwise add another $30 per new wheel drum.

New brake lines and fittings will add quite a bit of cost too, but you may not need them. Pre-bent brake lines will run about $240 but if you can make your own, you could do it for under $80.

Also, I'd recommend upgrading (when you can) to a safer dual master cylinder.

I still can't figure out how to post pics from my phone. I think my fuel pump crapped out on me right after I drove 90+ miles back home. No fuel is getting to the carb. I removed fuel line that connects to the fuel filter and I'm getting nothing. I pulled the cover off the fuel pump and it is full of fuel. Fuel pump is on order and won't be here till at least Tuesday. This sux. I just get a new toy and I don't get to play with it for a few more days. I've been looking around and I suppose no one carries 48 year old fuel pumps.

Inline tube has the entire pre-bent brake line kit for about $140 shipped. That's standard, you can pay more for stainless, and that's not including the three flex hoses.

Nice stepper. Looks like it'll make a fine daily driver. Small six with AC might be slow though.

That looks like a V8 radiator, like I put in mine.

Also looks like a V8 air cleaner on the intake...make sure it fits the carb right/seals up so it actually filters.

Could also be junk in your tank. Sometimes crud pulls up and gathers around the screen on the intake inside the tank. Fuel pump is easier if that fixes it...

at first i got no fuel to the carb so i checked the fuel filter. it was clean
so i pulled the fuel line to the filter. i tried to start it and no fuel was flowing. so i followed fuel line to the fuel pump. i removed the fuel line on the back side of the fuel pump. no fuel was leaking from the pump. so i took off the fuel pump cap and fuel was in it. i removed and took apart the fuel pump. i cleaned a little and put it back together. after i hooked the inbound fuel line i was getting fuel leaking from the out bound side. i put the fuel line back on and tried to start it and still im not getting fuel to the carb. any advice or tricks? i have a new fuel pump on the way. it will be here tuesday

Don't see any pics ... as for fuel prob you started at the wrong end ....first pull the line off of the inlet end of the pump take the gas cap off and blow in the tank and see if any gas runs out of the line to the pump if none then your dip tube in the tank is plugged if the screen is still on the dip tube it is most likely plugged.... i have a 63 C60 dump truck with 396 and some kids threw some balloons in the tank and there is no screen on the dip tube and the pump pulled the balloons up the tube about 2" till it could not pull any more and it stopped running)

I got fuel to the fuel pump inlet. If I remove the fuel line it flows through the pump onto the ground. I removed the line to the filter and I filled a water bottle and poked a hole in the cap and forced water through the line and it was clear. I've done all I could think of to get fuel to the carb. I got a pump coming tomorrow from rockauto.com. let me know if I'm missing something

if it flows through the pump (with out pressuring the tank) then you have no valves left in the pump .. a new pump should solve it all for you

Ya im not pressuring the tank just gravity feeding. Thanks for confirming. I'm glad my first part I have replace is going to be easy.

That six is a great motor, with a little tuning, points / coil / plugs it'll run practically forever & gas milage won't be too bad either! Check out John Lee's thread on tuning a 6 cyl.

I've seen a bumper like this last week in Norman on a 2nd gen c10. If someone tries to rear end my they will get the smelly end of the stick. I have been thinking of replacing it with a stock one from lmc. I don't know. I'll leave it on for a while and see if it grows on me
