You can keep the crossmember where the engine mounts go but in most cases it will have to be trimmed for the rack and pinion unit when doing a Mustang 2. I remove all the ones I do for a cleaner looking install. Like I said if it was my truck I would go with the Flatout corvette setup you can do it for about the same price, but if you want a Mustang 2 there is nothing wrong with them.
