custom paint job

used base clear. drew out the lettering and cut them out. i went with a poppy red. looks more orange to be but if you hold a true orange it looks much more red. the clear i put on was is awlgrip which is made for boats. it has a lot more solids in it than automotive clear but it is much harder to spray. ended having to wet sand the clear and respray it 3 times. it definitely has a much deeper shine and hopefully holds up much better.

let me know what you think

Very cool, has a bit of old school mixed in. I like when you can follow the body line.

Re: custom paint job

Solid - I wish I had the talent to paint. One thing to consider is painting the top of the dash between the pad and windshield a flat color to reduce glare as GM did. This area was painted to match the dash pad color IIRC. Good luck with the build!
