6 lug rotors
im looking to convert my 70 to disc brakes. i have the complete assembly from spindle to dust cover that i bought from slicknsmooth72. now. im either going to leave the 5 lug and go over to 5 lug or just stick a 6 lug rotor in there. all the catalog parts places sells the 6 lug rotors and im wondering what vehicle they are from. id like to not pay like 80 a rotor and possibly get them cheaper from an auto parts store. anybody know what vehicle these are from? 6 lug discs in the same boltpattern as our trucks?
this is a side thought: if i change over to 5 lug im going to stick some chrome camaro ralleys on there and lower it a little and make it more of a classic than my original thought of bags and 20s. i may still goto bags later... but i dont know... for now i just want discs not the best photoshop in the world but just what i might do... with 5 lugs

The tech guy at Early Classics told me that the 6 lug rotors are not OEM on anything. He said the ECE had to order them straight from the manufacturer in lots of 400 sets to get them special made.
That's what he said......I dunno, I had the same question myself.

I've heard you can get discs re-drilled for different lug patterns....not too sure on it though
I would proably put in the 5-lug crossmember and find a '71-'72 rear axle.....there is a very large selection of wheels for the 5x5 bolt pattern anyway. Then you could get the gear ratio you want too. Also, i think '71-'72 axleshafts will go into your '70 rear axle....may be a bit easier then swapping the whole rear. BTW....go rallies and bags! They look soo much cooler and classy than 20's

6 lug rotors
McGaughy's mentioned something about these rotors before in another link but I can't recall. I have their setup on my 68 lwb. I also have the chrome rally wheels in 6 lug. It helps keep them on my truck! If I had gone with 5 lug they would have taken them and put them on someone else's Chevelle! The only thing that goes on both sets is the standard derby.

The 6-lug Rotors are an aftermarket option. No 2wd truck came with the 6-lug rotors
