The "next gen" as I refer to it as has a potentiometer connected to the box by nearly three feet of multi-conductor wire. This allows mounting of the pot anywhere you have a 5/16" hole or mount it on the included rudimentary bracket. The circuit and wiring are similar to the first generation box, it works the same. The next gen is $12 additional due to the reworking needed to build it. The box has no mounting bracket like the first gen but it is light and can be taped or zip tied to structure or wiring underdash and out of sight. I had to add a ground wire as the mounting bracket on the first gen is/was ground(no more bracket)This design also cleared the way to adapt this delay system to 60-66 model years. The next gen will work 60-72 model years.
