The correct seat cover for Chevy trucks is long overdue. What is available from the aftermarket now is a joke. THe 64-65 custom seat (post #2) and the 66 custom seat (post 7) are excellent examples and would be the most popular. WHat is great about these years is medium fawn was used with about 80% of all exterior colors, red was used with about 20%. Also, the "custom" seat was available as an option even on standard base models.

Here is part of my 64 seat. I just installed a cup holder on it. I plane to have it re upholstered.

Here's the seat in my 64. Definitely not for everyone but I'm old and grew up in the days of Paisley Print, Bell Bottoms & Nehru Collars. The seat is actually darker than it looks in the pictures.
