Supercharging a 350

Alright, I have a 350 block, 4 bolt main, 1 piece rear main seal. Plan for the winter is to throw on an edelbrock e-force supercharger! just wondering if anyone has done this and what they ran for an ignition system and fuel pump, also wondering how aggressive of a cam to go? any advice or tricks would be great thanks!

Re: Supercharging a 350

Crower makes a nice blower cam. When mine was S/C'd and carbed, I ran Holley's high output race pump with a regulator set at 7psi... bonus is the pump is adjustable and rebuildable. Ignition was handled by an MSD 6AL with a BTM. Plugs were gapped on the small side, don't remember the gap and one step colder.

Re: Supercharging a 350

I'm assuming you have a pretty much stock bottom end, as far as a camshaft goes... you really need to do a lot of research or simply buy a cam designed for a blower. Be honest about how much boost you're realistically going to throw at the truck as well as how high your going to be able to spin that bottom end. Street Supercharging is a good book to get you through the basics.

Re: Supercharging a 350

Surperchargers like mild cams as this prevents surging. So when you look at street supercharger cams they will always seem mild.

The guy above gave good info. Do your research, and you'll have a good experience.
