LT1 swap

For you guys that have swapped a LT1 into your trucks. What throttle linkage did you use and how did you run your fuel lines?

Thanks in advance

Re: LT1 swap

I have yet to do one in a truck, but I did do one in an 1987 IROC and about to put one in my Crownline boat.
Just use the 71/72 gas pedel and cable with some minor modification I'm sure.
Fuel lines will be an electric pump and add a return line to the tank. nothing too major. \
The electrical system will be the biggest challenge. but again nothing too major.

Re: LT1 swap

I have not done an LT1 but I have done TPI. I used TBI S10 Blazer lines (SWB truck) and then hydraulic unions to splice to the fuel lines up front that came with the TPI. For an LT1 you could do simliar, but you will have to adapt to get to the LT1 lines. Just don't use a brass union for natural gas; they are not rated for the pressure. For the throttle cable, I would try B-body Impala/Caprice, it should be close. I used the Blazer tank with a TPI pump. I think you could do the same but with a B-body LT1 pump.
