Uneven Truck w/ 2" Lift - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I put on Rough Country 2" springs on front and back (52" rear springs) earlier this year. Since then, my driver's side dropped 1" (22 3/4" from center of hub to fender on driver's side and 23 3/4" on pass. side). Rough Country is replacing the front driver's spring as per the warranty. Is there anything else I should be looking at? Suspension bushings, shackle bushings, etc? Also, the body lines appear to be straight on both sides, so I ruled out the body mounts; should I consider these as well? Thanks for helping out.

Is your frame square? Get on flat ground and look at the top rim of the bed from behind. If the frame is warped, the rim will not be flat.

I appreciate the reply, I was beginning to wonder if there was anybody out there. But I'm not sure what you mean by the top rim of the bed though, do you mean the bed rails? By the way, I think I went through Sisters on my way to Bend when I used to live in Eugene. Thanks for the help.

Yeah, just look at the top of the bed and see if the front diaphragm is flat with the tailgate and that both sides are even and everything is in the same plane. I subconsciously do that at stoplights to the trucks in front of me.

New addition to the scenario: 300# of sand just went into the bed on the pass. side. Low and behold, the pass. side went down and the driver's side went up. What this means, I don't know, but I'm sure some of you do. Thanks for playing, Chad.

Yeah, the Eugene revolutions were a bit too much. Not that I don't like an uprising now and then, but innocent people were just getting hurt. Didn't seem to make sense to me. But the place is still beautiful, no matter what side of the Cascades you're on.

Back to my dilemma, the bed doesn't tilt, the whole truck tilts. Now with the sand (see previous post) it just tilts a lot less. Actually it seems level. This is really confusing, as it seems there's about 1000 things that could cause this. But that's why I'm seeking wisdom from the source. Thanks again.

I have seen so many trucks that are low on the drivers side, and if your looking from behind ther drivers side rear tire is always outside the front tire...

just an idea... my truck has always leaned.. of course it has been in a wreck or two.... but take into consideration your gas tank, unless you have dual tanks both full... also if you have a tool box or anything that may be loaded to one side...

My GMC seems to this too, it only had a single tank though on the driver side, I attribute the leaning to that and probably the 20 years of farm use.
