Re: 71/72 Bucket Seat Foam

Thanks for the reply Truckseats. LMC apparently has the Blazer/Jimmy backseat foam, but it's pricey. I don't have the skill to build up foam myself, never did seats before, and my foam is coming apart, looks like yellow snow flakes on the bed floor

Need to get some prices from local shops to do the foam I guess.

Thanks

Tim, seems that the Blazer/Jimmy foam sold by LMC is actually the truck seat foam and they are unable to answer any install questions. Hopefully you have the answers so I can get this ordered from you.

1. Is the truck bench seat foam the same thickness as the Blazer/Jimmy rear seat? Or does it require adding or removing foam to make it the same thickness?

2. Will the truck bench seat foam only require the trimming of the sides to match the width of the Blazer/Jimmy bench seat?

I don't know if you've ever done this before, but if you have and have any specific info it would be appreciated. If I can, I would like to get the foam from the same vendor so the foam is the same in consistency, firmness etc. But if I have to add foam to the truck seat or worse, remove foam, to get the correct thickness I'll go with a local re-upholstery guy.

Sorry for the delay. I missed this somehow. I have never removed the foam on a rear Blazer seat before to be able to compare for you or to be able to answer your question with confidence. All the rear benches I have had and do have all have nice foam on them. Maybe somebody can chime in on this one. Thanks
