I ordered the ball joints at the same time I ordered other parts----the short answer is "convenience". Up to that point, I had a much higher opinion of LMC. Their customer service blamed me for ordering the wrong part OR filling out my profile incorrectly. We had a long discussion on the phone after that--and I sent them pics showing them how their product was made incorrectly-----their answer was "they work for others". As much business as I had done with them up to that point----there was never a suggestion of a refund by them.

Re: Tired of run arounds from.....

I put in a huge order from LMC back in '05 to include a grill, frame pieces for the grill, floormat, vent windows, &c.

Within 2 years, all of these things had to come off, every last thing. It was either rust, dryrot, or poor fit.

I have never ordered from them since.

I normally use Classic Parts for close proximity but I have never bought a bad product from Brothers either.

Hey Randy- I'm in Lake Shasta. I've gone to the show for the past eight years and this year they switched the date, which coincided with my vacation.

Re: Tired of run arounds from.....

Well update, after hours of arguing with lmc this morning... I got a full refund, 3 rubber non fitting window seals, 150.00 in store credit(that won't get used on anything, maybe a t-shirt or 2). Now your probably wondering how this was possible... I explained simply that (1) I also run a retail parts store (oriellys) (2) that I would not be referring any of my local customers to lmc for any of the things I can not find and (3) I was going to spread this experience with as many people I could with mass media... All in all score one for the little guy... Sooo it's classic or brothers from now on... I'm in need of a fender now any suggestions lol and not lmc lol

I always have used Classic Parts but contact board vendors first

Re: Tired of run arounds from.....(LMC)

I'd certainly try the board vendors first as I am seeing over and over again. In the army we say that if the whole formation is on the same page, it must be right.

Re: Tired of run arounds from.....(LMC)

Classic Industries and Classic Parts have both been good when I've bought from them. I've bought from LMC, but I won't make that mistake again.
