Question 1970 gmc side mirrors???

i just got a 1970 gmc and i need to get door mirrors before i can drive it on the road. looking through the lmc catalog i noticed that the mirrors that mounted on the door with the three screws where only for 67-69. my 70 has the three screws for these style mirrors and as far as i know the doors are original (the truck has been in the family since the mid 70's). i was wondering if the lmc catalog was wrong or if the truck was built early in 1970 and they used 1969 doors?

It could be an early 70 production like you say as far as I know GMC and chevy used the same mirrors but I could be wrong

I had a 70 chevy that was an april production with the 69 style mirrors, and the restoration catalog shows 1/2 with the old, and 1/2 with the new. (refering to the pics showing the diffirent models...I think 6 trucks)

thanks i figured it was just a matter of old production parts on new trucks to cut re-tooling costs
