Cleaning up instrument cluster

While I am in the process of cleaning up the instrument cluster does anyone know what to use to clean up the instrument face. I tried to wipe it but the white smeared. Does that mean I have to repaint it because I in no way a good painter

That sucks. Have to just use a soft DRY brush. Even water will take the line work off.
