Front tire size

Okay so we have a million rear tire threads but I dont remember many threads about front tire sizes and I get an error when trying the search function. Currently I have 235/75s on stock rallies with a 3" drop up front. I switched tire sizes in the rear and now the front looks a bit big so heres where im at. I have a set of 205/70s I could swap out but am afraid they would look too small in our wheel wells. I do like the look of big meats out rear and smalls up front but dont want to see a ton of open fender well between the top of the tire.

Does anyone run a similar size or have pictures to give me a general idea of how things would look?

Re: Front tire size

Depending on the truck it could be anywhere from a 215/75 x15 to a 235/75 x15 tire size depending on the model. My 83 supposedly came with the 215/75, but now runs 275/60x15 on all 4 corners. the 205/70 you mentioned would definitely make it look shorter/smaller. Most folks I know with lowered trucks run a 235/70 on the front

Re: Front tire size

What size tire is on the rear? That will help with suggestions for the front. If you are running a 15x8 rally then I think any 70 series tire will look funny on that wide of a wheel on a lowered truck. A 235/245/ or 255/60 series tire will not balloon out so bad and look right on a lowered truck.

These are 15x8 rallies all around with 255/60 front and 275/60 rear tires.

Re: Front tire size

I went with the 245/60-15 BF Goodrich tire up front.
When I look at from different angles, it seems like there is not enough tire filling up the fender well.

I have since upgraded to tubular a-arms and new BB coil springs.
My suspension may need to relax some after driving it about 2000 miles before it drops down anymore.
I'll shoot another image of it during the week.

Re: Front tire size

I'm running 275/60s in the rear on stock rallys.

And rpoz11 please do post another shot of your tired, they're pretty similar in size to what I was thinking of swapping on.

Re: Front tire size

if running the 275/60 in the rear and you want a smaller tire I say 225 or 235/70 or a 255/60
