Radio antenna question

Just install a new radio antenna. Is there a special spanner tool to tighten it without damaging the chrome? Plugged it in and AM radio works perfectly!!

Do you have a pic to show? Sometimes there are two flat spots on opposite sides you can put a crescent wrench on.
