Lower control arm question
I put new shafts in my lower control arms, and was wondering if the machined part to locate the u-bolts goes in the front or the back? I can't seem to find a picture that shows it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Re: Lower control arm question
No the dimples on the shafts go to the front, look at the pictures of the assembled lower control arms. (in the earlier post)
Note the orientation of the dimples on the shafts to the shock mounts. They are opposite each other. |

Re: Lower control arm question
I checked mine to make sure I put them together right, and they are both towards the front. All the pics I found show them in the front after that, and it looks like they fit right with them there. I'm not sure it would hurt it to put it in the back, besides maybe the arm sitting in a slightly different position.

Re: Lower control arm question
Yup, I just did mine a few weeks ago and went through this same process! The dimples go in the front. I don't think they will fit the other way around because there is a stud that fits in the dimples on the front u-bolt. If the dimples are in the rear the stud will not let the shaft sit flush in the bracket.
