Won't start

Got a 98 1500 Gmc that won't start. It turns over fine but won't fire until you let the key off.It then fires a couple of times. Its the 305 with over 300000 k on it.Had the distributed changed at a shop and can't remember what else.It was good for a while but is now doing the same thing. It sat all summer,I charged the battery up and it started and ran but wont start now.Any suggestions?

Re: Won't start

Pull a few plugs from each side and look for spark while someone cranks it. If you have spark, check the fuel pressure.
