grill clearance

I'm getting ready to buy a new grill in preparation for getting my 97 painted. One of my issues is not having enough space between the radiator and grill for the innercooler (cummins swap), a/c condenser, and aux fan.

Right now I have a GMC grill on it, and the fan is pushing against the grill, and not letting it sit where its supposed to at the bottom. So if I switched to a chevy grill, would I get a little more clearance? I'd hate to loose the aux fan, cause in city traffic my A/C wouldn't really work (I also have an electric primary fan)

Re: grill clearance

You cant run the cummins fan because of clearance issues. You need to fab in another fan. Do some reasearch in the diesel conversions forumn on this site there is a ton of good info
