Aftermarket rocker panels

I am sure these have been used, what are they like. Do they fit ok, I am looking at a couple of these and also the rear inner rocker and outer floor repair kits. Was trying to save a set of originals but don't know if it is worth all the work.

Re: Aftermarket rocker panels

The ones I used on the blue '65 needed minimal fitting. I was being picky though.

Not the best pic, but here's how they fit just tacked in place. No cutting/reshaping here.

With a little work they fit like this.

Re: Aftermarket rocker panels

I've used Tri-plus rockers on several, fit fine-some massaging needed but not much.

Thanks dudes! LT1, I used a 1/2" diameter round carbide burr to cut the dimples back in to mimick the original spot welds,5/8" would match a factory weld divot better though.

Agreed. They take minimal work to fit, as shown in Astronaut's pics.

Re: Aftermarket rocker panels

I am 200 miles south so it's easier to just pay shipping, good ideal though as I do get there once in awhile. I don't know if there is any places there though.

Re: Aftermarket rocker panels

I have gotten some of my stuff from a place called Dan's Classic auto parts in Portland. I got my rocker stuff from them.
I thought you were closer to Portland. My daughter's mothers family is from Camas Valley and her mother did go to school in Roseburg
