Is the '54 frame tapered at the rear?

So I got the bed off, and started taking a few measurements. I have a diagram that says the frame is supposed to be 36" wide. I have that under the cab, and back to the axle, but then it narrows. I'm guessing what I feared is true when I first saw the bent crossmember.
It did pop out a rivot, but I just want to be sure about the frame width at the back of the bed.
Any suggestions to re-set the frame?

That is a 3/4 ton frame and they are straight from the back of the cab back.
The other indicator is the outboard mounted rear springs.
Looks like it had a bad run in with a log chain on the crossmember.

Yep, As mentioned, the frame should be straight back. Shouldn't be too hard to spread it back out. Maybe a high lift jack between the rear rails? May have to strap the middle near the axle to prevent bowing out too far.

Alright. Thanks, I'll try using a jack between the rails.
