Want to Buy NP-205 to TH-350 Support Brace
I'm looking for the rod or brace that connects to the side of a NP-205 with 2 bolts, and runs up to an engine bolt on the TH-350. Thanks, Don.

The only style I have seen on 67-72s are the 2 piece bracket that bolts to the transfer case and then to the frame with rubber donuts in between. I think I have a couple of the struts from the 73 up trucks, its a rod that goes from the 203 T/C to one of the hogshead bolts, These were used in conjunction with 2 strut rods that ran from the motor mounts on each side down to the special aluminum tranny dust cover.

Hmmm, the guy that rebuilt my NP-205 was wrong!! I did see the two holes in the frame, but they don't perfectly line up with the holes on the TC.
I guess I'll have to fabricate a brace (sick of the adaptor between TC and tranny cracking). Is it okay if it is direct bolt up, or do I need the cussion of the rubber to allow some movement? |

I would hold out for an original bracket, they work very well and it would be hard to beat it, Energy Suspension even sells the poly bushings for them, TEEITUP also has some poly bushings for these. Below is a pic I got off one of randys posts, this is half of the bracket that you need, the other half attachs to the frame and there is actually a third piece that seperate the bushings.

Transfer Case Mount
Don,
Here's a picture of how the mount goes together. I didn't take a picture when I took mine apart, then I couldn't figure it out. It's easy to figure out what part bolts tot he T/C, but I couldn't figure out the rest of the mount. Thanks, I read the link. Funny, your question was from the same day I signed up on the board. How does your truck look now? And to think it was all because of a cracked ring
