Granny left granny burnouts in my driveway

My wife needed to use my '68 today to get some stuff. She hadn't ever drove it before, but she's a farm girl and has probably drove more old Chevy trucks than most of us. She just prefers not to. So I gave her some starting instructions, told her everything worked just fine 'cept the horn, reminded her about the no power steering. I was sure I told her about the granny first gear.

Oops.

Re: Granny left granny burnouts in my driveway

My wifey took the old longhorn for a ride (fresh 461 inch Olds)! Ok babe, make damn shure the old truck is straight....can the throttle, & when it hits 6000, I will shift it The damn old truck went completley sideways, as soon as she canned it ! I laughed my azz off, & told her that the damn thing used both lanes of the pavement to about 100 mph crazyL

Re: Granny left granny burnouts in my driveway

First and only time my bride drove I still had the T-5 tranny in it. She left the parking brake on the entire drive. hahaha, she said I thought it had more power than that.
