Re: Should I ditch the flames?
I saw this silver '40 Ford p/u with ghost flames yesterday. I tried to get a detail shot of the flames coming from around the headlight, but I didn't think it would show up. I light the idea of using pearl so they only show when lighting changes. With a name like jus2qck meaning the truck is HOT,and the vibe being mild custom/hot rod,I'm thinking flames are in order. Your paint is custom color and custom pattern, with original far from the picture
EDIT: Oops,I forgot the picture. No sense showing a picture of a truck with flame you won't see. But,you get the point

Re: Should I ditch the flames?
The flames don't look bad..... the truck looks cleaner without them. Just my opinion. Can I get the color code of your paint ? I would like to use that color for my 67 nova, without flames but two tone

Re: Should I ditch the flames?
Yea I think I've decided to just do a straight two tone. I do like them but its time for a change. It will be cleaner look and with new wheels and a little lower I think it will be just right. thanks for all the input guys!

Re: Should I ditch the flames?
The flames are only thing that doesn't look good on that truck, IMO. I'd ditch them.

Re: Should I ditch the flames?
Pics make it kind of hard to get a good bead on your flames. Personally I love flames, but they have to be crazy seaweed flames that really pop. I don't really go for ghost flames or subtle flames.
I have my black panel truck on the back burner getting closer to bringing home. A crazy set of 60s flames burning down the hood and all the way down the sides are pulling at me =) I think your truck looks pretty darn good as is ... could be pricey to remove/repaint to get rid of the flames.

Re: Should I ditch the flames?
I'm not big on flames and even less on telling someone what to do with their truck. Since u asked though I think u should leave them off. A nice 2 tone as said with some nice striping will set it off in my opinion.

Re: Should I ditch the flames?
Why ditch them. They set the truck off from everyone else. But, then, mine looks a bit gaudier so you might want a different opinion!

Re: Should I ditch the flames?
In my opinion, flames can look good or bad depending on a few factors. Are they painted on by a pro who knows how to paint flames? Are they something you bought in a sticker kit from Auto-zone? Do they blend in with the theme of what they are on?
