I'm using a 19" Ford fan off of a Crown Vic. It moves a lot of air.

Probably a stupid question here but do you not have to run a fan shroud with this setup?? How well does it cool?? Is it better than a regular fan??

One more question, what is a good size fan to get for a 31x19 radiator with a mildly built 350??

I think the general rule is cfm=horsepower X 10
and multimply bay 125% if you have AC.
