OEM parts for the rare 1970-only auxiliary rear fuel tank
Yes the very rare 1970-only aux tank that was mounted in the rear Blazer style. I have the harness and toggle for the dash mounted sending switch, fuel valve with mounting bracket (way different from the 72-only aux design), the lever used to switch the valve from one tank to the other, plate for the door sill, fuel neck, etc.
What is lacking: 1) fuel neck cover I needed for my Blazer (any Blazer or 72 aux tank cover will work) and 2) Blazer tank/straps (can be bought easily). $105 plus shipping - will consider partial trade for the little metal brackets with rubber blocks used on blazer tops as wedges to keep down side-to-side hatch movement or blue 3/4t Spicer hub dials Will post more pics for anyone seriously interested. The rod, plate, and valve are not shown below.

I need just the sheet metal cover that goes over the filler on the inside of the bed. Would you sell it by itself for $50 including shipping?

Re: OEM parts for the rare 1970-only auxiliary rear fuel tank
Remember that one I just sold - turns out my Blazer didn't have one. Doh!! I shouldn't have sold it This cover (as discussed above) will be used for my Blazer. Sorry man.

Re: OEM parts for the rare 1970-only auxiliary rear fuel tank
Will do - it operates the valve: one end of the rod enters the cab (handle for the valve) and the piece itself extends posterior to join the valve. On the 72-only aux tank the valve stem extends up through the floor - no rod needed.

Here's another pic. The plate and wiring are packed for my move in a box somewhere with 72-only aux tank parts and aux battery wiring - I will dig for these and snap pics if still interested. The harness is intact - and plate is usable but not perfect - some paint loss IIRC

Re: OEM parts for the rare 1970-only auxiliary rear fuel tank
Huh - Very interesting - I'd not considered fuel neck location in relation to the trim. In 72 the neck was placed above the trim. Thanks for interest. Jud?
