Re: Trucks! TV show 66 C10 for sale

Great looking truck! I watched parts of the build. It's a nice mix of custom & stock-looking without getting too weird or crazy with mods. I have to admit though, every time I see one of these I can't help but ask myself why they don't paint the area behind the grille black.

Re: Trucks! TV show 66 C10 for sale

its a nice truck and I watched the build as they did it through the episodes. I think with the quality work and parts its a fair price. As stated above, you'd be hard pressed to build one for that price.

I did not like it when they cut up a good long bed for a shot bed ,long beds get no love, and they ride better ,look better and can haul more.i`am just saying

Nicely done mild custom there. Somebody tell me why so many fully detailed builds inexplicably omit the blackout behind the grill and in the hood nostrils. Does ANYONE really think it looks better that way??

Bruce, I'm on your side! The colors needs to be broken up a little and the middle stake pocket needs to be removed, but a very very nice truck!

Stated by likaroc and echoed by Bruce and Rene...

I can't agree more. In my opinion, that black would have sent this front end Over the Top!

The nostrils as well! Mine may be a beater paint job still, but the first thing I did was black out the nostrils with a rattle can when I got it. LOL

With those complaints out of the way, this has sold me on the 17x8 wheels. I can't deny that I like more wheel and less tire.

I believe that they do not just understand the intricacies of these vehicles; another word for it is ignorance!

I never noticed the parts behind the grill and nostrils before you guys mentioned it. I now agree that they should be blacked out. It almost looks like overspray to me even though I know it's not. But I would love to have this truck. Too bad they didn't have a giveaway.

That's one of my pet peeves on any car or truck. There's a reason why Chevrolet was adamant about painting those areas black. A radiator is NOT a styling feature on a car, so why surround it with shiny non-black paint?

I like the truck, but in my worthless opinion, it would look so much better with a blacked out core support, blacked out hood nostrils, and amber front lenses. Very simple fixes that make a huge difference.
