Pneumatic side step

Anyone ever think about mounting one of these on a burb?

I know the ones that come with Explorers and Mountaineers are electric and very trouble prone in New England weather. I have replaced a couple with fixed running boards for customers.

I was just thinking about that last week with my brother-in-law. He does body and paint, he told me that behind the rocker area its too shallow to mount the device.

It looks like it they fit up pretty tight to the body.
