free running gmc 305 v6
i have a v6 out of my 1968 gmc that im looking to get rid of im replacing it with a 472 Cadillac and i hate to throw good parts away especially if someone can use them. any how its a gmc v6 it runs good doesn't smoke or knock. i rebuilt the carb, replaced the points and coil so it ran decent i didn't ever set the timing though as i only drove it 20 miles or so before tearing into the truck. i strongly recommend a new carb though as the throttle plate is worn out on this one and the accelerator pump doesn't work to good even after a rebuild. im located in evanston wy 82930 you can get a hold of me at 13076791730 i prefer not to ship unless you can make the arrangements
thanks, Broc Easton

I had one of those engines in a '63 GMC once. They have a ton of torque. By the way why is your master cylinder on the passenger side? You going for right hand drive?

A right hand drive C-10 with a Caddi motor...this will be a cool ride for sure.
Nice gesture offering up your motor, hope someone can put it to good use.

Brakes on right side, steering on left... you must have some LONG arms and legs!

Re: free running gmc 305 v6
No long arms for me this truck gives a new twist on driving with friends! I hope someone can use the motor, and as for the truck I have porter built on the way so I couldn't justify swapping all the steering components yet

Re: free running gmc 305 v6
I would enjoy having a 305 V6, but I really like being married to my wife, and she already thinks I have enough projects.
I had a 66 GMC and that was a great engine. It's really cool that you're willing to share. |

Re: free running gmc 305 v6
That's what I love about this site. Everyone has different directions for their build. As you can see from my avatar I like being different too. People ask me why I wanted a Roadster. Because I can and it's mine. Just love whatever you're building. Good luck!

If no one takes it on here, maybe try your local CL...surely someone local could put it to use...and not just ruin it for fun.

If you don't need the clutch linkage and are willing to ship it, I will buy it from you.
