2006 Sierra Shocks
I'm thinking of replacing the shocks on my pickup. I do a lot of driving now for work, the vast majority of it being highway driving too, and I figure some new shocks would help make the ride a little more comfy.
Not sure how well the old ones are even working anyways, they are the originals with 252 000 km's on the truck now. I guess the first question would be, is it going to help or would putting new shocks just be wasting time and money? The second question, does anyone recommend a specific brand? I appreciate any input! |

Re: 2006 Sierra Shocks
Monroe advises you should replace shocks every 50K miles (I dont know how many kms that is), so I am certain it is not a waist of time for you. I did some ranchos on my old 1500, they were nice but I feel wore out faster. I have heard good things about the monroe sens-a-trac shocks and on many Z71 trucks the factory installs bilsiens.

Re: 2006 Sierra Shocks
50 000 miles is about 80 000 km, so I would venture to guess I would be long overdue.
