66 step side long box

Can anyone tell me if a 1954 long box step side is the same as a 1966. I believe I read that somewhere but I cannot find it again. Thank you.

The bed changed designs in late 1955. So the late model (new body style) 1955-1966 step side beds are the same. There were different designs for the tail lights. Some items like the tailgates, forward bed panels and side panels are interchangeable from late 55 - 1987. Although on the side panels, you will find different mounting locations on some of the fenders.
