Looking for towing/leveling advice

1969 Longbed coil sprung survivor. Factory ride height. Tow a 1966 Airstream with no problem, but the rear sags even with load bars on the hitch set up. Doesn't significantly impact the handling, but I'd like to level it out. Hoping someone with firsthand experience can recommend a solution. Looking at add-on air bags to fit inside the coils or new HD rear springs. The air bags seem like the better solution to maintain unladen ride quality, but am having difficulty finding a set for this application. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Re: Looking for towing/leveling advice

Here's some info. I had a set on a leaf spring truck. THey're universal and should bolt on your trailing arms. You might need to build some brackets to mount them behind the axle.

Re: Looking for towing/leveling advice

Did you find them to work well unloaded? Any suggestion on application to order for? They do not list for my truck.

Re: Looking for towing/leveling advice

Didn't even know they where there when aired down. Like I said before you might need to get a universal set and make your own brackets to mount them to the axle.
THere are other options. Helper leafs. Or coil over shocks.

Re: Looking for towing/leveling advice

The first link went to the work-rites, which are not aired up or down. Sorry for the confusion. Guess I'll have to call about a universal option. The site seems to list everything by application. Thanks for the suggestions.

THe helper leaf might be the best option. THey where a factory option. Could get a spring shop to make some.
I'll find a better link.

Re: Looking for towing/leveling advice

Those helper air bags look like a great solution. I like the adjustability. Just need to find a part number or application to order under.

Re: Looking for towing/leveling advice

I have run air lift bags inside the factory coils, no brackets required.

I believe I have an extra set of the G60 helper springs and brackets. PM me if interested.

I also use Airlift products. The 1000 series is what you need. Feels stock when running minimal pressure, then adds 1,000# true capacity aired up.
