Re: Tricked-out Chevy six cylinder engines

I am hoping a buddy of mine will get some video of it for me. I am taking my
Cam with me. I am also?? going to try and figure out a way to mount it inside for some video. But at the vary least video of it on the track. The is set-up for 1/4 and this is only a 1/8mi. track so are figuring a mid to high 9 pass. which if it was a 1/4mi track should be mid to maybe low 14's on a 10-1 motor mild cam.
But anyway I'll post it on my site with the Other Vids I have of it.

Hi Larry:
I didn't know you were on this forum. I usually hang out in the '67-'72 universe. Just wanted to say "Hey" and thanks.
You helped me a with lot of advice when I was building up my 292 L6 @ .030-over, Badger pistons, Crane 260H cam, 1.87? intake valves, Rhoades lifters, Offy intake, Clifford headers, and [after the 390 Holley gave up] an Edelbrock AFB-clone 1404 500 CFM. This in a '68 C/10 Stepside, 292 L6, SM465, 12-Bolt 3.73 rear w/Eaton posi. I went to Pertronix Ignitor II a couple of years ago and it's great. It ain't clean or too pretty; it's still a daily driver work truck.
Cheers, Brian

That's as beautifle burb ya got there NEWFISHER. and as for the I6 pics, that's what this thread is for and they're all welcome. Wish I could post mine but the gallery dept. is acting up and irritating me. I've got a pic of the engine in mine but can't upload it unfortunately.

Here's my 292, under maintenance for the day. Had to replace the intake/exhaust manifold gasket. Still has the factory "GM Alpine Green" or "Detroit Engine Green" faded on the valve cover.

DILLON ROCK,
Are you doing a stock restoration on your 6? Mine was painted green also at one time. I know in 64 the 6's were blue.
