Noob question about model year differences
A local guy has a great deal on CL for new carpet that fits a '76. I have a '82. Suppliers indicate there is a difference after '81. Is it a major difference or just factory color changes? Would carpet for a '76 fit in my '82?

Re: Noob question about model year differences
2 wheel drive? or 4? Stick or automatic?
Those answers are going to matter, especially the 4 wheel drive part. The carpet shape itself should be the same, but the shifter locations may not be, plus there is the "high hump" versus "low hump" factor. Four speed trucks and all 4x4s have high hump floors, 2 wheel drive automatics should be low hump.

Re: Noob question about model year differences
76 carpet would have the hole for the dimmer switch in it, 82 is on the column.

That's nothing a razor blade won't take care of. On a side note my 77 c30 with a 4spd was a low hump?

Re: Noob question about model year differences
That is incorrect. Column switched dimmer started in '84 with column switched wipers. My '83 has floor dimmer and dash switch controlled wipers.

Ok, not sure what the difference is then.

Re: Noob question about model year differences
There is a break in the blazers for sure (back flooring area behind driver's seat), but the pickup may be the same. I'd also just verify 2wd/4wd and then go and compare.
How good a deal is it? Stockinteriors.com is $119 http://www.stockinteriors.com/AutoCa...=31&ModelId=88 I used them for my entire blazer and it turned out great! Supplier is actually ACC. Very happy with purchase! FYI, I'm from the Spokane/CDA area and have a place on Hayden.....family has been there since the 40's.
