Can somebody measure their 71-72 rear end??? Total width??
Hey. Can somebody measure their rear-end for me? From outside of the drum to the other drum. Or from the axle flange to the other flange.
Thanks.

I have a 72 rear end in the garage, but it has no axles. I could measure backing plate to backing plate.

Thanks guys. I measured mine from face-of-drum to face-of-drum at 62"(that's with my '68 rear-end). I haven't had a chance to measure at the backing plate.

Just measured mine from the inside of the drums. 55-1/2"
Maybe it was already common knowledge but the newer rears work out 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" wider than the older rears. Thanks for the input guys!
