Re: $2600 for cab trim?
^^^wow, almost 6 grand for 3 parts, i guess if you were making 10 grand a month it wouldn't be such a hit.
the steering wheel gets me, millions of them out there, chevy used those ones in the vans too. p.o. of my truck drilled a spinner knob threw the wheel, got another one at the wrecker, (exactly like the ebay one) it's not NOS, but just as perfect-$10, did i underpay??.... |

Re: $2600 for cab trim?
To me these prices are just ridiculous. If it was from a rare model car, ok. But these squares, millions of them made and loads of parts available. Probably NOS is doing the trick..

Re: $2600 for cab trim?
Can you imagine how much money you could spend if you were trying to buy all NOS trim/parts on a restore. At these prices it could add up very fast. Like stated before I bet these parts get bought from over seas. A couple of members here are from the middle east and are putting together some very nice trucks.
Off subject a bit but the bodyshop that my cab and bed is at has a 63 split window vette. He had to find the interior trim for the back windows only. He had to pay $7000 for it used. Granted a split window is a different animal but still. That doesn't even include the outside trim which still has to be bought.

Re: $2600 for cab trim?
I would shave off these parts before I would pay 1/10th of the high bid price. Its not like these trucks are first gen camaros, chevelles, or tri fives.

Re: $2600 for cab trim?
I am in the skeptical column. I would not be surprised if the seller had some kind of straw buyer in the mix somewhere - to jack up the value of any other inventory to be sold in the future.

Re: $2600 for cab trim?
Either you guys selectively read this forum or have a bad case of short-timers... j/k
EVERY TIME a NOS part goes for big money someone posts it on here and it gets re-hashed. Those 2,500 bedrails were BOUGHT BY A FORUM MEMBER HERE! How about that, they didn't go overseas... He even admitted to it, and rightfully so; he has a gorgeous low mileage truck that once had the rails and they had been removed. More power to anyone who can pay that much to fine tune some last detail on their truck.

Re: $2600 for cab trim?
A good man is rebuilding his with NOS parts. The quality is superb. I know who ya are talkin about. I think they're outrageous but if ya can afford it i don't see why not.

If I could afford it I would but that is just not in the cards for this guy.
