4X4 value

Guys....I might have a chance to buy a 71/72 LWB 4X4 3/4 ton. I really don't think my wife will go for it but it is a fresh (original) big block truck automatic and really clean....I believe fresh paint. Any ideas on value?

We need pics!

But....a truck with a good running gear, nice paint, nice interior, ect, goes anywhere from $5k up.......

It's not original if it has a BB. They didn't come in 4x4's.

But it sounds cool, however.

No BB in 4X4's huh....hmmmmmmI was told it was a 427. That would match my Chevelle.

Sorry Mike. 1969 GMC is right.
No big blocks were ever put in 4x4's until after 73 or 74.
As far as value goes. If it is real clean with no rust (wich is always hard to tell. Especially with "new paint".) I wouls guess about 4 - 5 Thousand.
I was real lucky. I found my 72 4x4 3/4 Ton Cheyenne Super for 2K! Like I said. I was real lucky!
Still sounds like a sweet truck!

Darren

well, there is a one in a million chance that your truck was some sort of 67-72 truck fanatic's wet dream COPO with a 427 (which would be awe$ome), but I highly doubt it. Even if that were the case, I bet it would be almost impossible to prove. Still, BB's should have been available in 4x4's, and if the truck is clean I'd go for it.

Okay....thanks guys. I don't think I can convince my wife.....the truck hasn't officially come up for sale yet but I have let the person know I may be interested. As soon as I hear back as to when and how much I will post it.
