Third Brake Light
I'm installing a harness on my 66 truck, one of the wire says third brake light, where do I install this wire. Do I need it? When the brake pedal is pressed and the rear lights come on, which wire is turning them on.
Thanks for your help Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Third Brake Light
I am installing an American Autowire harness in my 66 right now (well I am out of town RIGHT now) but I ran that wire for a third brake light up to the dome light area for now. I plan to install a third brake light off of a Suburban, like this http://www.persh.org/Pickup/ThirdBrakeLight.htm
Here's the info on the third brake light: P/N 15755976 Third Brake Lamp GM 94-09 Escalade, S-Series, Blazer, Jimmy, Bravada, Suburban, Tahoe, Yukon, Yukon XL, Hummer |

Re: Third Brake Light
Oh, and if I recall correctly, that wire comes from the brake light switch, at the same point that the wire for the regular brake lights comes off of it. So, essentially, you can almost think of it as being spliced into the regular brake light wire, but it isn't really spliced into it.
