exhaust sounds
How much difference does an X or H pipe make in exhaust sound out the back?

Re: exhaust sounds
I recently switched from an x pipe setup to an H pipe. There is a difference, somewhat subtle but noticeable if you're listening. The H is a little deeper and has a more classic muscle car sound, thumpy. The X has a more stock car sound to it, if that makes sense to you. More "tuned", modern. I like them both. My feeling is I'd go X for a nice Restomod and H for an old school build. H somewhat more drag car, X more track car. Pipe size also makes a difference in the area of "rasp".

Re: exhaust sounds
They both will smooth out the sound. it will help with power but it makes the exhaust seem more tame in my opinion.
