Re: New 1979 C-70
That's pretty amazing in my opinion. The low miles is great, but the truck will still need a certain amount of work to get it back into operating condition. Plus all the parts that this truck in particular was missing. If I really wanted the truck and if I had a lot of money to spare, I probably would had stopped at about $8000.
There was also a '63 Chevy Impala at this auction and I heard it sold for $97,000. Even though it is a 2-Dr HT, has a 327 engine and only 11 miles, I would had bid no where near what it brought. I probably would had not gone over $35,000, if even that. The hype of the auction sure seemed to work. The owners and the auction house will be the big winners. Bill

By the way, a '58 Chevy Cameo Pick-up went for $140,000. Has a dented Roof to boot from a collapsed roof when it was in storage.
