How low?

Wondering how low I can get the front end of my85 C10 using the stock front inner fenderwells before I run into tire clearance issues. Will be running a 20" front wheel and want to use a 245/45 20 front tire (28.6" tall)

Does anyone here have experience in really getting these trucks down and retaining the stock inner fenders?

Please advise....wanting to tuck the sidewalls of the front tires and still be able to 'drive' the truck

Re: How low?

I would suggest going 4.5 on the front, which is a common drop and should get it close to tucking. You might be able to go another .5" lower, depending on offset of the wheel. I think anything lower and you will hit the fender wells under harsher bumps.

Hey jbristo67, did you have any tire to fenderwell clearance issues?
BTW, the front wheels will be 8.5" wide w/5.25 back spacing. Truck will have CPP spindles which I'm told will pull the wheel inward another .25"...

Re: How low?

I am running djm drop arms with stock springs that have one coil cut out. Running 255/55-18 tires which are 29" tall and I rub when turning and I hit a bump. Going straight it's pretty good I think the bump stops hit before the tire rubs. I need to trim te bump stop though as I have abou 2.5-3" of travel before it hits.
