Lost placement on gearbox.

So the gearbox on my 71 was leaking power steering fluid so I removed it and replaced the seals where the steering shaft connects. When I did this, I marked the relation to the pitman arm buuut... my marking was not made good enough and rubbed off when I was replacing the seals.

I know I didn't move the gears too much as I did not dismantle much of the gearbox but I've also never messed with one of these and am unsure what I should do. Is it typical that being off by a small amount can be adjusted during an alignment or do I need to do something more here?

The pitman arm will only go on one way in relation to your truck. Actually it goes on in 4 positions but none of the others are anywhere close.

Spin the steering wheel to the center between locks. Spin to one lock slowly then to the other counting the turns. Divide by 2 and spin back. Put the front wheels straight ahead. This will give a rough center to the gear box. Next, put the pitman up and see what goes.
