rear leaf spring bush removal
Hi
How is the best way to remove the front bush on the rear leaf spring mount on the 57 truck? I have removed the locating pin, but unsure the best way to remove the bush, so I can remove the leaf spring. There must be a trick to this? Which side should it the bush come out? (inside or outside?) Do I need to remove any parts (running boards?), as there is no room to get a hammer in there, so I guest I need some sort of compression tool? Gary

Re: rear leaf spring bush removal
It might be easier to remove the spring and use a hydraulic press to remove it. That is how I have changed them. Good luck.

Re: rear leaf spring bush removal
Are you talking about the main pin? Both of mine came out pretty easy once the retaining pin was removed. Did you try giving it a sharp rap with a BFH?
