55-59 aftermarket fleetside tailgate?

I need a new tailgate for my 58 fleetside can anyone recommend the best place and quality to order one from?

I hear mixed reviews about replacement sheet metal parts from LMC ,thats where I was going to order one from unless you guys can recommend somewhere else.

Ive been looking at the ones that mar-k sells. Not cheap, but alledgedly made in the u.s., not overseas. I've given up trying to find a straight one in a junk yard.

Mar-K have got good reviews here. But be advised they are just like the original with visible spot welds, exposed seams, etc.

Mar-k tailgates have great quality and thick metal. I have not bought a fleetside but the stepside ones are great. I am fortunate to have a stash of fleetside gates in my inventory.

Agreed about Mar-K. Excellent quality tailgates, bedsides and cross sills.

Just finished dry fitting mine tonight. Breaking it down tomorrow for paint. Everything fits well and couldn't be happier
