Question Removing Head Rests.....

HOW DO YOU REMOVE THE HEAD REST FROM THE SEAT BACKS OF A 60/40 SPLIT BENCH SEAT FROM A '94 SILVERADO.
THIS IS THE SEAT I HAVE IN MY '71 AND I DO NOT WANT THE HEAD RESTS ON THEM, BUT I DO NOT WANT TO JUST CUT THEM OFF THAT COULD BE DANGEROUS TO HAVE THEM LOOSE IN THE SEAT BACK, THEY COULD POKE ME OR SOMETHING.....!!!!

Look around at the base of the seat where the pegs go into the seat. Usually there is a plastic insert. Somewhere on the inserts will be small holes. Take something and push in as you pull. Thats the way it was on my 2003 GMC lol
