This one made its way to my shop....

Knocking it in the head. If you need any parts, it is listed on the parts board.... Worked a deal yesterday, last night this shows up at the shop. 70 GMC lwb, loaded with air all still intact. Rough but has potential.. Should be a good old shop truck/parts chaser.

Rust is the issue. Rockers, cab corners, cab supports, bedsides and bed floor. The front cap is amazingly rust free, even the right hand inner fender and lower fender cup. It is not rusted through on the inside above the windshield. It has been well used as a truck. It has a custom white paint job, you can see the green through several spots. The air cleaner has got to go. I am not needing/wanting a shop truck right now but just cannot bring myself to knock it in the head,,, yet..

My Grandpa always said, "It's a mean old world out there". I guess he meant even the catfish we caught was mean.

Ha, I grew up in New York City, so no stranger to ice-picking and hitting on the head...just a bit different. My granpa always said..."Dont make eye contact!"

Re: This one made its way to my shop....

I am thinking about taking some R134 and some oil home and seeing if the air will come back to life. That would just be too cool,, pun intended..

I am done looking. I am getting ready to throw down and list a bunch of stuff from several of the other trucks we have "parted" that are just in the way and taking up valuable shop space. Deals, deals, deals...

Re: This one made its way to my shop....

Just listed it on the parts board. Decided it was worth more in parts than as a driver. Check it out if you need anything. Thanks, Fred.

Re: This one made its way to my shop....

Sometimes you have to part'em out. I have parted some real nice stuff lately like an 04 3/4 Sivlerado and a 06 4x4 and a crew cab 04. and when people are asking why am I parting such nice ones I say nice trucks make the nicest parts. Doesn't it make sense that if you where looking for some parts you would want the good ones? That is my answer, That is why it makes perfect sense to me to knocker in the head and junk it on out. Good luck with it. Jim
