Re: new guy
Hey, what about a hitch for smooth tailgate, no bumper style? Does it have to be custom fabricated out are there sources?

Re: new guy
If you are wanting it behind the roll pan, I believe it will have to be fabricated. I don't know of any that are produced like this. The regular production, off the shelf receiver hitches will hang below the roll pan.

Re: new guy
Sry guys but just wanted to clear up, it is a th350. I sure feel dumb but the cable is just not right, or like the others I had compared it to. Regardless, its not a 700r4 and I plan on hooking up the cable but you can bet your ass I will drive it hard until then without fear of burning **** up. I just wanted to clear that up and I apologize for jumping to conclusions so quickly. Only13 bolts on the pan. But I still need to decode to find the specific year. I've just been forcing myself to stay away from it so I didn't burn up the trans. I feel so much better now.

Re: new guy
Welcome to the forum.
I had the same stiff peddle problem. It was a dirty prop valve. Changed it out and voila! It was as good as a new Cadillac!

Re: new guy
Thanks guys, ya I thought initially it might be the prop valve. I recently broke a rocker arm stud and decided to go ahead and swap a clean intake I had laying around. I also rebuilt the carbb and tuned and re-timed her. I gained vacuum and performance plus there's no leaks. I still have a lot I want to do but a lil at a time is all this guy can afford. I am curious if what heads I have .. ok post some pics of the numbers I found maybe you guys know? It is a 4 bolt main block tho. Ooh and turns out it's not a full roller motor. Hydraulic flat tappet. Sounds good tho.
Thanks guys,

Re: new guy
Ok, I think I'm gonna try and stick the hitch behind the licence plate. I'll use an old nova flip down plate hanger. What you think? Anyone have pics of this from under the truck.

Re: new guy
Well, it was eventful. I broke another rocker arm stud but this time I had my tools and studs with me and changed it in 5 minutes on the side of the road. I did get I nice burn on my thumb tho. I need to change all of them I guess. I had only fixed the one cause I thought maybe it was just a fluke but apparently there cheap studs. I bought comp but I'm told they are arp studs this time and you can tell there better. I drove by the car show but ended up meeting my girl for dinner instead.

Re: new guy
Decoded the heads, turns it there World products s/r torquer heads supposedly with 2.02 1.6 valves and small 170cc intake runners and larger 76cc combustion chambers. I've heard they make good products tho. So, I still don't know cam specs, but I'm thinking compression is prolly low huh? Any thoughts, I'd like to bump up power/torque some being shes so heavy.
