New Member Introduction
New member who recently purchased 1986, Chevy C10 short wheel base, step side truck. Red/Red original paint, 108K miles barn find, stored for many years.
Some of the options include: E62 stepside body, MM7 4-speed man. tran, ( same MY6, code change??) C91 dome lamp, N41 power steering, V43 painted rear step bumper, ZY1 solid paint, D45 ext below-eye-line, GU4 rear axle-3.08 rat, N67 rally wheels, J63 am radio, Z53 gages. Body is original and fair except for cab corners rusted, and rest of truck is mostly original except after market radio/speakers installed. Got it running with gas can in engine compartment, not sure about gas tank condition after so much storage- will pull to check condition. Also, had to put on new clutch cylinders and line, original one leaking. V6 4.3 engine running seems to be missing some, thinking intake valve seals are gone, along with some rust on exhaust valves, rings may be stuck, smokes a little, reving does not make smoke more. Still evaluating condition on engine. Plans are for it to be a driver for cars shows, Sunday drives, and local trips to hardware store for stuff. Still in evaluation/decision stage for what restorations to do????????????? I plan to do details on project in build-up section. GM car/truck owner since high school. Trucks included 1973 chevy super Cheyenne , 1976 K5 blazer, 1997 surburban, 1999 surburban, 2003 3500 crew cab dually- still have for towing, 2010 Silverado driver, and 2014 GMC Acadia-D (wife driver for grandkids- very nice but needs V8). Glad to be part of this group, Les |

Keith Seymore is gonna go bonkers over your truck. Red, standard shift short bed with a V6. That was the truck he speed out as his own personal configuration when he was working at GM and they were producing these trucks.
