anyone had this problems with Coys?
I ordered my polished C57's in mid March. They shipped the fronts immediately and said the rears would be here in April. They are paid for. They did'nt come and they said "early May". I contacted them yesterday since we are going out of town for an approximate shipping date and now they say June. Its hard for me to believe that they cant get these wheels. I talked to them at Pate in FW and they said they had been sent to polish and would ship soon. Seems like its a different story every time you contact them. Very frustrating. I have'nt bugged em about it, have only emailed a couple of times and get one or two word responses like "early May" or "maybe June". Any suggestions?

Re: anyone had this problems with Coys?
I had no problems with mine. Ordered them was promised max 10 days they showed up on the 10th day. Only difference mine are chromed not polished. I used the phone for all communications. When I called they looked up shipping and gave me confirmation numbers over the phone. Everything turned out great for me. I would call during the work hours and request shipping tracking confirmation to your satisfaction. If they didn't provide.. ask for the manager!

Re: anyone had this problems with Coys?
I talked to them and they said that the ones that were sent to the polisher were for another Brian and were 4.75 pattern. Said he was waiting on some blank wheels to drill and send to polish. So June it is....we'll see.

Re: anyone had this problems with Coys?
I have heard this story many times from board members, some guys get their wheels without issue but others are not so lucky. I have heard of guys getting different backspacing than what they ordered, a buddy of mine was even shipped a different size wheel all together. This is one reason why I have stayed away from Coys.....
But the biggest reason for my decision is that their wheels are not made here is the USA like my truck was |

Re: anyone had this problems with Coys?
Yeah they rarely respond and when they do its a totally different story like they have no idea that they have talked to you before. One of the front wheels has a spot about the size of a tic- tac where they burned thru the chrome when they polished them but Im afraid to send it back for fear of never getting another one. I guess the rears will eventually show up, not sure what to do if they dont..

Re: anyone had this problems with Coys?
Seems like it would be easier to send what you have back and get a refund. I'm pretty sure in the wheel description it didn't say "some wheels may have flaws due to over polishing". I used to brush things under the table. You have to ask yourself, when does a person draw the line between picky and pushy? Coys aren't the cheapest rim around, so if they want to charge a premium, I'd uphold them to that standard.

Re: anyone had this problems with Coys?
Talked with them today...they did'nt offer an exact date but assured me they were coming. He offered a complete refund but those really are the wheels that I want. And for those that think I have been bothering them I have talked to them twice since the first of April....lol

Re: anyone had this problems with Coys?
I would give a drop dead date. If they aren't here by...say June 20th (?) then I would call them and send the fronts back. wheels just aren't worth the months of waiting IMO. Maybe you can get some others that have the same look but are in stock locally. You live right outside a huge market for custom automotive accessories.

Re: anyone had this problems with Coys?
The problem is:
They either do have the wheels,... and ship fast. Or they don't have the wheels and you wait up to 6 months. It all depends on when they get their container of wheels on a boat from CHINA. That's why there are different versions of this same old story.

Re: anyone had this problems with Coys?
They supposedly are getting them in on June 1 and then they will go to polish and to have the pattern "drilled". The problem is everytime I talk to them I get a different story from the same guy and I basically have no re-course. They are in Utah and I am in Texas. And they have my money. I ordered them in early March and my invoice says "delivery-7 to 10 days". We'll see what happens in June. Some guys get them right away and some dont but honesty would eliminate alot of frustration.

Re: anyone had this problems with Coys?
hfd410, after receiving all your wheels are you happy with them, or would you suggest not to deal with Coys based on quality and customer service? I've been debating this for a while. Did you go with the 4.75 or 5.25 backspacing on the front?

Re: anyone had this problems with Coys?
They are the 4.75 and fit perfect. They turn stop to stop without rubbing anywhere. I probably would use them again but would have appreciated them telling me the truth instead of what happened. They said initially that they would ship right away and it took 2 1/2 months. The frustration was in that I got a totally different story with every contact..

I would run a 5.25" BS up front with a 8.5" wide wheel. (actually I would run more than 5.25" BS because I like the wheels tucked more) I would measure your own truck.
